Educational Leaders/Teacher Coaches

Learning Sciences International is proud to provide support to teachers and leaders to truly transform core instruction and leadership practices.  Faculty Coaches serve in the critical role of providing professional learning and coaching to teachers to drive change in instructional effectiveness, resulting in gains in student achievement.

If you have proven experience in coaching teachers  and a desire to put your skills to use in schools that need significant support, you may be the candidate we are seeking.  

Faculty Coaches may serve in one school for an  entire school year or may be assigned to several schools depending on the level of need in each school.  This full time position provides daily support to the faculty through coaching, professional development facilitation, PLC support, and  instructional planning opportunities.  

Extensive travel to identified school sites to meet coaching requirements is required.

Candidates must reside in Arizona.

Required Experience:

  • Instructional Coaching or School Leadership.
  • Expertise in using student data to inform individual, classroom, and schoolwide instructional decisions
  • High level knowledge/experience in standards based planning and instruction.
  • Service to Title I schools or similar environments.
  • Expertise in RtI or school-wide systems for intervention
  • Expertise in implementation of PBIS or other behavioral systems
  • Subject Matter Expertise in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
  • Expertise in facilitating professional learning  
  • Proven ability to utilize technology tools that support instructional practices

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Through professional development and coaching, ensure implementation of implementation model as evidenced in classrooms via multiple source observations including LSI and school/district personnel. Implementation  impact will be reviewed on growth metrics and expected end of year goal as set by LSI leadership team.
  • Facilitate teacher/leader instructional growth through coaching, onsite professional learning, PLC support and instructional planning. These actions are expected to result in student achievement increases as evidenced by identified leading/lagging data specific to implementation and identified school data.       
  • Utilize technology tools to maximize the implementation effect.
  • Provide high quality professional development facilitation   
  • Communicate progress of implementation to internal and external stakeholders through multiple means of communication including written data reports, onsite and virtual discussions and presentations.
  • Gather and submit all required documentation related to implementation efforts on indicated timeline.
  • Collaborate with LSI internal departments for research and development, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and implementation integrity of project
  • Prioritize tasks in a manner that best accomplishes strategic goals
  • Remain current on educational trends and needs that may affect outcome of implementation.
  • Attend professional learning sessions via onsite and virtual environments for professional continuous improvement and program development.
  • Collaborate and participate in internal comprehensive reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Follow all required protocols and procedures for internal processes and systems.
  • Faculty Coaches will be expected to travel via approved modes to their assigned school on schedules that allow Monday-Friday full time coaching.

 

NOTE: Successful candidates will be required to pass a security background check and a drug test. Benefits will begin after a 90-day probationary period of employment with Learning Sciences International.
