LSI seeks a marketing executive to lead our team and our company to achieve rapid growth and position LSI as a leader in the K-12 school services market. The successful candidate will have a track record of developing innovative market strategies that lead to breakthrough results; collaborating with Sales to hone lead generation, qualification, and closing processes into a well-oiled machine; implementing new media strategies and using dynamic video and online content to establish thought leadership; and leveraging customer-centric practices to drive loyalty and market growth. This executive will have strategic and operational responsibilities for all marketing efforts.  In this high visibility role, you are charged with the seamless execution of end-to-end customer lifecycle marketing initiatives.

 The successful candidate will focus on the following:

  • Leveraging LSI's record of student achievement gains to increase revenue and market share
  • Developing an omni-channel Marketing strategy aligned with Sales strategy to retain and grow LSI's customer base
  • Implementing new media strategies, content marketing, editorial placement, and online customer communities to establish LSI's national thought leadership
  • Leading, coaching, and inspiring the marketing team to deliver targeted, timely, effective campaigns for multiple products and services
  • Ensuring strategic lead generation and successful execution of customer loyalty initiatives
  • Embedding customer feedback within the customer experience programs


  • Own the strategic focus and flawless execution of all marketing (websites, email, print pieces, events, Sales supports lead generation, tradeshows, webinars, etc.) to achieve revenue goals
  • Lead marketing team to understand the competitive landscape, identify areas of competitive differentiation, and define target audience for LSI's deliverables
  • Work closely with Sales to precisely define the conversion funnel process for leads, execute that process, evaluate that process, and hone that process
  • Train Sales team on product positioning, differentiated pitches, and selling against competitors
  • Develop performance metrics for all marketing, lead generation, loyalty, and CRM programs
  • Promote LSI thought leadership and build online customer communities through content marketing
  • Ensure brand story alignment, customer-centric focus, and compelling storytelling in editorial placement, PR, LSI's websites and blogs, product launches, lead generation, website, social media, videos, and webinars
  • Ensure organizational alignment on readiness for new releases in our sales/delivery channels
  • Collaborate with Product teams on our Product Vision, Positioning, Road Map, and Go-To-Market strategies
  • Aggregate customer feedback from disparate data sources and provide actionable business insights
  • Own the customer experience by mapping customer pain points to the product attributes
  • Document all customer touch points, identify potential gaps, and deliver improvements



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years in marketing leadership roles
  • 5+ years of experience in breakthrough brands and new media strategies
  • 5+ years in K-12 marketing (professional development/school reform experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in using content marketing, thought leadership, and editorial placement to raise corporate profile
  • Deep understanding of lead generation and marketing automation
  • Proven successful collaborator with outside and inside Sales teams
  • Creative, strategic thinker who drives successful execution of innovative B2B marketing


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel to schools and tradeshows (10% travel time)
  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for short periods of time with breaks
  • Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature
  • Ability to view monitors over 2/3 of the time and reports and communicate with others
  • General office environment lifting of files up to 10 lbs. 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
